With the disappointing failure of a statewide plastic bag ban, the time has come to push for a local bag ban! We can make the change we want to see in the world. Surfrider will be presenting at this Wednesday's Oct. 20th Arcata City Council meeting during the public comment period, and at the Tuesday, Nov. 2nd Humboldt County Board of Supervisors meeting at 9:30 a.m., and the more our representatives hear from you the more they will be inclined to push for a ban.
Please, contact your councilmembers and Supervisor to let them you are in support of a local plastic bag ban! And come out to the meetings to support our presentation.
