Tobacco-Free Humboldt is hosting a butt-litter cleanup on the Arcata Plaza this week and needs all the volunteers they can get! It will be on Thursday June 21 from 12:00-2:00.
Did you know that the number one littered item in the nation are cigarette butts?! And cigarette butts are mostly made of plastic. When these toxic butts are flicked into the environment they often end up into our waterways....then the ocean. Yikes! So help out our friends at Tobacco-Free Humboldt pick up butts and other litter before it hits the Arcata plaza storm drains!
