After an alleged armed robbery at a Garberville surf shop, authorities arrested a 40-year-old Laytonville man on charges of attempted robbery.
According to information from the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, on Monday, deputies responded to the Tsunami Surf Shop, where it was reported a man had entered and brandished a knife, demanding money.
The store clerk left the store and called the authorities before the suspect fled the scene, HCSO reported.
Upon arrival, a deputy located Sean Malcom, and arrested him on charges of attempted robbery.
He was booked into the Humboldt County jail, HCSO reported.
